About

At the age of nineteen I arrived in Tasmania determined to make my way as a practicing artist. After starting out as a landscape painter I have detoured into stage design and set painting, graphics, book illustration, trompe l’oeil (trick the eye) murals and even two sets of stamps for Australia Post. There are so many books with my illustrations on them or in them that I will just list the seventeen titles known as Trade Books (see below).
When my children were growing up I stopped oil painting and it’s only in the last decade or so that I have returned to it. I tried initially just to devote my attention to painting but my other careers wouldn’t just quietly disappear so now I try to juggle them all.
If you wish to buy any of my work or would like to propose a commission, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
